What is The Spark Writers' Group?

Starting in April 2025, we’ll begin practicing and sharing our writing every week

When I thought about what I wanted in a writers’ group, I considered the things that really help me produce work. Those are regular practice and sharing with others.

So in the Spark Writers Group, you’ll enjoy both those things and more, including a weekly challenge, opportunities to share, and ways to stay motivated, inspired, and connected in your writing practice.

1. Flashpoints | fuels your practice with weekly challenges designed to ignite your writing practice and encourage you to share with others.

2. Luminaries | spotlights authors and artists. Reading other people's work and about other people’s work always inspires me to create!

3. Vault | provides tools and resources to support your creative journey, including places to go, books to read, and ways to take your work beyond the first draft.

Flashpoints Weekly Challenge

1. I’ll post a writing challenge every Monday.

2. We’ll write something and share a quote from it in Notes by Thursday!

3. We can reply to each other if we want to with what is working for us in the shared piece.
