Plant Magic: Adding Personal Intentions to Plants and the Land
When you plant your intentions in a wild landscape or a managed garden, know that it is one of the oldest ways to create.
Manifest Your Intentions with Plant Magic
Whether you have a wild place, a garden, or a potted plant to tend, this 3-step exercise can help you participate in making your personal manifestations become real. It is inspired by the wonderful garden book The Garden Awakening: Designs to Nurture Our Land and Ourselves.
Choose a plant or plants to add to the land or garden that give you joy. It could be herbs, flowers, medicinal plants, vegetables or anything really.
Think of a time or circumstance that gives you great joy and happiness. It should be something you are so happy about when you think of it that it makes you want to just burst open. Think about this while you get your plant ready for planting. You want your heart open with loving heart-centered energy so it can connect with the energies of the earth.
As you plant your plant (or plants) in your garden (or in a sunny window or pot outside) give compliments to them, and give a clear intention. For example, ask for protection or nourishment (if your plant choice is edible) for your particular health needs or the needs of your family. Be careful what you wish for, of course! Mary Reynolds, the Garden Awakening‘s author always adds “if it is for my higher good” to avoid the plot twists you see in fairy tales where the person gets their wish and can’t get out of it 🙂 You can use this ritual to create a magical garden full of wishes, generating joy through the creation process.
